I was such a mess
The day I met You
Yet You chose to sit in my boat
You defined my life’s purpose
And spelt out the destiny You wrote;

I am Peter
I hope you are too

I am Peter

I am Peter
I am the one you heard of
Who walked on water
Though for a short moment
I rode the storms and ocean torrent
Till the wind became boisterous
And the waters less viscous
So I sank
And I cried 😢
And He held me
Yes I doubted
It wasn’t really what I wanted
That my faith be faulted
I am a man;👤
Not oblivious of the storm
But I am strong;
When I look upon His form
So again I walked
Yes I walked the torrents

I am Peter
The one you heard of
Who denied his master
Thrice I lied
Till the cock crowed🐓
I wish I died

What is wrong with me!
Can’t I do anything right?!
My tears called for help
Till my eyes sank in my skull
Talking of the skull
There was my Master crucified
Golgotha they called it
“the place of the skull”💀
I went back to my occupation
I heard the Masters salutation
He is risen!
There I told Him
“I love you”

I am Peter
The one you heard of
Filled with the Holy Spirit and Power
Preached 3,000 to Christ
My failures are history
No longer my story
My master the strength that carries me

I lose focus sometimes
But I get back on my feet
A word is enough to make me
Walk on water

I am Peter
I hope you are too.

Wake up to the wonder

Ever wondered how to sustain this sense of awe you have about the presence of God?

When we lift our hearts and hands in worship, God shows up ‘cos He inhabits our praises. But this seems to happen only when we are in church, with shivers  running down our spines and God bumps rising on our skins. Then we leave church and feel regular again!

Can we carry this awareness of God’s presence beyond the church gates? Yes!

It’s simple. Wake up to the wonder!

Always wake up to an awareness of God’s involvement in your life. Wake up to an awareness of God’s presence always. This is the heart of the worshiper. It is the ability to stand in awe of God regardless of what circumstances and society says.

God is always with us, but we have to wake up to this reality!

God doesn’t live in houses made with hands. In lives in the believer.

You can have as much of God as you acknowledge!

I challenge you all, wake up to the wonder!  Wake up with a heart that constantly wants God’s presence. If you desire Him, you will have Him. He is His Presence. There is no difference.  Be intentional about having a constant heart of worship.

The supernatural is not far away!

Wake up to the wonder!

Live in constant awareness of the Holy Spirit.

God—you’re my God! I can’t get enough of you! I’ve worked up such hunger and thirst for God, traveling across dry and weary deserts.

So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open, drinking in your strength and glory.

In your generous love I am really living at last!

My lips brim praises like fountains. I bless you every time I take a breath; My arms wave like banners of praise to you” Psalm 63:1-4

This is my heart cry;

May we never lose our wonder
Wide-eyed and mystified
May we be just like a child
Staring at the beauty of our king” ©Bethel music

I call you blessed

Early will I rise to praise You
For among thorns You have lifted me
You have set me on high
And have caused me to ride the winds
Angels behold your wondrous works
Kings of nations stand in awe
Of what You are doing among the sons of men

Oh we will praise You
For out of us You have raised kings
You made the impossible possible
Making us leap for joy

Rejoice Zion!
Your day of visitation has come again
Rejoice God’s angels!
For your eyes will see
The manifestations of the sons of God

Grace has visited the earth
Love oozes out of our hearts
God’s Spirit is on the move again
Generations to come will not recover

Good news has come to the inhabitants of the earth
Shock will grip all who hear
For it shall be too wondrous to listen to

So rejoice!
For your day of visitation has come
No one will be able to hold you down

So dance!
And let praises ring out of your mouth
Clap your hands
Let go of fears
The glory of the Lord is covering the earth
I say, rejoice!

This write up will be serving as an intro to this new category, “Inspired Writings”.

There are moments as people who have given themselves to the worship of our Father when the Spirit of God breathes on us, by taking advantage of the atmospheres we have created for His expression.

What happens then?

He inspires us!  For many, He speaks to you of things to come. For many again, He brings to your remembrance the things that matter. He stirs up ideas.

In essence, the prophetic finds expression.

For me, these moments produce songs by the Spirit, inspired writings (Psalms) spontaneously.

What are Psalms?

They have a musical heritage. However, psalms are collections of prayers, poems and hymns that focus the worshiper’s thoughts on God in praise and adoration. Psalms can also be prophetic as seen in many psalms in the bible.

I have therefore chosen to share some of these writings here. I hope they edify, exhort and comfort you.

“…but be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs… “ Ephesians 5:18-19

I call you blessed!
