God-colours

Once upon a time
Darkness covered the earth
For the seat of it
Was the heart of men.
All men
Male and female
Old and young
It wasn’t about the race
All was black
Continents were dark

Dark forces ruled the nations
Filled the cities
Governed our homes
For the seat of it
Was the heart of men.
All hope was lost

Till once came upon us another time…

God became man
Reconciled us to Himself
Made us the focus of His love
Because we said yes to His call.

For as many as received Him
He christened us “sons of God”
Among many other names and titles

And in the midst of all the darkness
And the pain of what seemed to be
A hopeless situation,
He declared;
“You are light, bringing out the
God-colours in this world”

Now are we the sons of God
Light in dark places
Salt…
Bringing out the God-flavours in
This world.
